2021.12.09 04:02 LostInLC Contract Harvesting
From my experience so far on fs22, I have come to the conclusion that all contracts stating send their product to Goldcrest Valley (Elmcreek Map) is a scam. In order to get their product to Goldcrest, you must rent a train...for $1000. So like the contract I am looking at, they would pay me $418.00 to harvest their crop (0.25ha) (look at the size of field 79), rent a train, send it to Goldcrest and complete the contract. However, the catch is, you are not paid back for renting the train. The whole contract just cost you $582 plus the cost of gas. There would be more cost if you borrowed equipment. Who thought this would be a great idea?

Chapter 1 went awesome but I’m nervous for the RP of all the guilds and will take any suggestions you might have! How do I keep new NPC characters interesting or feel unique? Or any really cool side missions that fit well with guilds maybe?

2021.12.09 04:02 MegaMech How to communicate muscle activation? From perspective of a concert pianist.
Since Kinesiology appears to investigate mechanical motion and muscles I was hoping someone would have an enlightening explanation on how to communicate 'how to use our muscles.' I teach children and adults piano, I also teach rock climbing. Pointers on use of technical terms would be helpful too (I welcome academic article suggestions too).
Random background thoughts: As a child I felt adults always just "did things." They knew how to do it and their best way to teach me how to do it was as so: "It's like this" -> Does the action in under a second -> Okay, now you do it. Me: "..."
Then there's trades: carpentry, metal working, farming, mechanics, etc. Tradesmen learn how to activate their muscles in an intensely continuous manner because they're always lifting stuff. Compare that to someone that's never done much heavy lifting, they'll always lift objects like they're picking up a glass of water. Only enough pressure to lift the item and no more. However, most things in life appears to require much more physical exertion than that. Like rock climbing, I learned that I can't just hold onto the rocks like I would hold a glass of water, I had to really squeeze with all my might and the harder I squeezed the better I could hold onto flat, smooth, and slippery rocks that would otherwise appear impossible to use.
Back on topic: With the above in-mind. I made a similar realization with piano. Children don't know how to activate their muscles and we have no proper communication method to teach this. Explanation and visuals can never teach muscle-use (My music degree was four years of constant frustration because I could see my professors sing or play piano but I couldn't comprehend how to interpret the visual information or explanations to muscle movements).
Learning to curve your fingers while playing piano is among the first steps. This requires stiffening the bottom finger joint to prevent it from collapsing flat. Children really struggle with this as it's a very minimal muscle activation. I've come up with two methods and hopefully someone may have a better idea for teaching this:
1) Put palms/hands together -> slide 1 hand towards you until your index finger is just under the other index fingers first joint. This allows gently rotating the tip of the index finger without moving any other joints. My thought is that the student can then feel which muscle is being activated and then I explain that muscle needs to stay stiff.
2) I put a hand in a playing posture (curved). I then gently push up on the index finger with the other index finger. This emulates as if I was pressing down a key. If the finger is relaxed it collapses (becomes flat). If I have activated the muscles correctly the connection from hand to finger rotates but the other two finger joints don't move too much.
bonus item) In piano you never want to push the keys down with your finger muscles because they are weak and unreliable. Piano playing should always come from the forearm moving up and down (wrist joint should stay level with fore-arm/hand) or rotating in a roll direction only resorting to finger muscles when that doesn't work. You'll never meet a pianist who can explain this fact. I've studied under multiple PhD pianists, master degree pianists, and one of the best pianists in my country. They just do, they never think "how do I do"
Thoughts on this? Is this within the realm of Kinesiology?

2021.12.09 04:02 NiceCow666 Why do both the Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus in this game dont make their iconic film roars?
I am going to modify my game to have them like that soon but why do neither of these dinosaurs make their film roars? They don’t even sound the same really. Is this because of a copyright issue or licensing? I’m not upset about it so don’t think that, it’s just that I think there is a reason they don’t have those roars. So I thought to ask you all what you think about it.
